J-Street Grill’s Seminole Burger Gains National Recognition
February 13, 2018
TALLAHASSEE Fla. - Recently, Travis Johnson, Executive Culinary Director of Seminole Dining for Sodexo, was featured in the month of March in InHarvest’s Foodservice-Events Calendar for J-Street Grill’s own signature vegetarian Seminole Burger. J-Street is one of five micro-restaurants housed at 1851; Florida State University’s newest preeminent dining destination.
This partnership promotes Seminole Dining’s commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability. InHarvest is the country’s premier provider of rice, exotic grains and legumes to many of the food service industry’s main segments including K-12 education, colleges and universities and military food service.
Chef Johnson is honored to have received this recognition. “The Seminole Dining program at FSU is culinary focused and the Seminole Burger is an example of a great vegetarian recipe that creates variety for our students and guests. This recipe was developed using farm fresh ingredients, healthy grains, legumes, pulses & aromatics. Enjoy!”
Prepared with a variety of fresh vegetables and topped with Johnson’s specialty mixture of avocado and ripe tomato, this burger receives multiple accolades.
Seminole Dining strives to bring FSUnique and earth-conscious dishes to the FSU community.
Since Sodexo Inc.’s takeover of Seminole Dining last May, students, faculty and administrators have been introduced to cuisine with greater emphasis on sustainability and local sourcing of fresh ingredients.
