TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Nationally ranked university food service Seminole Dining is partnering with a popular mobile app to make ordering food easier and more convenient for Florida State University students, faculty and staff.
After a soft rollout in the fall, Seminole Dining has fully launched its partnership with Tapingo, a company that offers an easy-to-use pickup food service.
“Seminole Dining is excited to offer its customers a convenient way to order food to avoid waiting in lines. It will ensure students, faculty and staff make the most of their time,” Seminole Dining Regional District Manager John Teeple said. “Tapingo is a nationally renowned company with services at 200 colleges and universities, and our partnership will provide customers a quick and easy way to order food ahead for pickup.”
Tapingo is easy to use. Users simply need to download the app on their smartphone. From there, customers can add their FSU Card or credit card for payment options. After searching for “Florida State University,” students, faculty and staff can view which restaurants are open and how long the wait time is for each restaurant.
Restaurants available for Tapingo pickup at Florida State University include Starbucks Strozier, Starbucks Dirac, Chick-fil-A, The Den, Tuscan Eatery @ 1851, Einstein Bros. Bagels, JStreet Grill @ 1851, Passport @ 1851, 4Rivers Smokehouse, Steak & Shake, Seminole Pies, Noles Homecoming @1851, Argo Tea, Garnet and Go Deli, Garnet and Go Grill, Subway, Mein Bowl, Natural!, C.O.E. Café and the newly opened Pollo Tropical.
“Tapingo’s slogan is ‘Wait less. Live more,’” Teeple said. “We know Florida State University students want to enjoy their college experience, and Tapingo’s quick and easy way to order food allows anyone to get the food they want, when they want it, without the wait.”
