– Last fall, Seminole Dining opened its newest retail offering – Argo Tea Café
– at the Shores Building.
Argo Tea is known for its sustainability and passion for fresh, new products, bringing teas directly from growers around the world and blending them into savory signature beverages.
These innovative beverages are created by mixologists and nutritionists, freshly brewing full-leaf teas with fruits, flowers, spices and herbs. Each ingredient is natural and doesn’t contain any artificial flavorings, colors or additives. These tea blends are a healthy mix of mindful nutrition and desirable flavor.
“I had given up coffee and started drinking tea a couple months before Argo Tea opened,” senior Alexis Rodriguez said. “I was surprised at how many different beverages they had, including their Maté Laté, which tasted even better than coffee!”
The Maté Laté is one of five different types of teappuccinos, which are tea-based dairy beverages. Vegan customers or those who are lactose intolerant can switch from whole or 2 percent milk to coconut, almond or soy milk at no additional charge. Argo Tea also offers vegan pastries, such as chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, lemon poppy seed muffins and green tea muffins.
“Argo Tea provides Florida State students, faculty and staff with yet another unique option on campus,” Regional District Manager John Teeple said. “Argo Tea is a delicious and refreshing option for students who seek a warm or cold beverage between classes.”
Signature beverages and baked goods aren’t the only things that make Argo Tea unique. This ambient café also provides customers the option to purchase their favorite tea blend in bulk. The Signature Blend Collection includes 30 loose-leaf tea blends that range from high caffeine to no caffeine, each with different flavors – fruity, spicy, tart, herbaceous and floral.
Argo Tea Café is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
