What is 1851?

Logo - 1851You may have noticed the 2 new Residence Halls on campus! What’s in a name? Magnolia and Azalea Halls not only reflective of the beautiful foliage around campus, but also re-establish the name “Magnolia” as a residence hall as FSU once had a Magnolia Hall on campus near this location. Azalea Hall, closest to Jefferson Street, has the exciting new dining venue named “1851” - the year FSU was established in case you weren’t aware (we are full of fun facts). FSU and Seminole Dining are committed to providing a new and innovative approach to engage community members and this new “urban eatery/bistro” will do just that. Its 24,000 square feet will be a magnet for fellowship, nourishment, entertainment and great food. The facility was designed with the principles of comfort, high energy, outdoor seating and an eat-and-learn environment in mind.
